Turkiye Inflation: September CPI Falls Below 30% for First Time Since 2021

After hitting 31.5% annually in August, Turkiye’s inflation eased to 29.7% in September, coming below 30% for the first time since November 2021 helped by lower food price pressures and favourable base effects.

Geopolitical Outlook

Ukraine-Russia War Outlook: What May Happen in 2027?

Considering that U.S. President Trump continues to focus on the conflict with Iran, while the U.S.-mediated contacts in September produced limited progress and major disagreements over territory and security guarantees in Ukraine remain unresolved, our baseline scenario is that the war drags on through 2027 (80% probability). The alternative is a Russia-friendly peace deal (20%), most likely in or after H2 2027.

Pakistan Inflation Falls in September, but Rising Producer Costs and Elevated Monthly Prices Signal Persistent Risks

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) released September inflation data on October 1. The inflation stood at 10.3% y/y down from11.1% in August supported by decelerated food inflation in September.
